Diana’s lifelong love for dogs began early — if there was a dog nearby, that’s where she’d be. That connection deepened in 2020 when she adopted Sky, a terrier, pit bull, and chihuahua mix whose big personality came with dog reactivity. What started as a search to help Sky feel safe and confident around other dogs became the spark that shaped Diana’s career.

Through Sky, Diana discovered a deep interest in canine behavior, communication, and learning. She immersed herself in obedience training, behavior modification, and the role nutrition plays in a dog’s physical and emotional well-being. With a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from Sacramento State University, Diana approaches training through a holistic lens, blending structure, clarity, and fulfillment to support the whole dog. Her professional journey includes hands-on apprenticeship work, assisting in private lessons, group classes, and behavior-focused training with dogs of all breeds and temperaments, as well as ongoing education through workshops and seminars focused on modern, evidence-based training practices.

 

At Midnight Sky K9 Services, Diana specializes in building reliable obedience and real-world confidence for dogs and their owners. Her approach is calm, clear, and relationship-driven, with an emphasis on communication, consistency, and trust. She believes every dog deserves structure and understanding, and that true freedom comes from a strong foundation.

Outside of training, Diana stays active competing and training across a variety of dog sports with her dogs. Her Labrador retriever, Odin, competes in dock diving, hunt tests, conformation, and scent work, while Sky is actively involved in barn hunt and scent work. When she’s not training or working dogs, Diana enjoys hiking Bay Area trails and spending her days immersed in life alongside them — a routine that keeps her grounded, inspired, and always learning.
