Structured Boarding
$85 per day, per dog

Structured Boarding is a maintenance-focused boarding option designed for dogs who already have a solid training foundation. This program is intended to preserve consistency, structure, and clarity while your dog is away, not to replace training or address foundational gaps.
Structured Boarding is generally reserved for:
• Dogs who have completed a Board and Train program with Midnight Sky K9 Services
• Dogs referred by trusted trainers who have completed a comparable Board and Train program elsewhere
In some cases, dogs trained outside of Midnight Sky K9 Services may be accepted following an evaluation to ensure their training and handling are a good fit for this environment.
What Structured Boarding Is and Is Not
Structured Boarding is designed to maintain and support existing training, not rebuild it from scratch. Dogs in this program follow a calm, predictable daily routine that reinforces manners, structure, and appropriate behavior.
This is not a traditional boarding environment and is not intended for dogs who are currently struggling with basic obedience, impulse control, or structure.
If a dog arrives significantly out of practice or requires more hands on training than expected, additional training fees may apply to bring the dog back up to speed. If this becomes a recurring issue, Structured Boarding may no longer be an appropriate option.
Home-Based Boarding Environment
Structured Boarding takes place in my home, not a kennel or traditional facility. Dogs are cared for in a quiet, low-volume environment with access to open outdoor space and intentional daily structure. Social interaction, exercise, and rest are all tailored to each dog’s needs and training level.
Dogs may participate in pack walks, controlled outdoor time, or free yard time when appropriate. When indoors, dogs are given a calm space to rest and decompress. Clarity, predictability, and consistency are prioritized to help dogs feel secure while away from home.
What’s Included
• Structured daily routines
• Reinforcement of existing obedience and manners
• Leash walks and controlled outings
• Off-leash hikes or romps based on your dog’s training, reliability, and approval
• Mental engagement and enrichment
• Rest and decompression time
• Consistent handling and expectations
• Integration into my home environment
*Dogs are kept in a low volume, intentional setting where structure and calm behavior are prioritized.
Crate Requirement
Because Structured Boarding is home based, all dogs must be comfortable resting in a crate when a human is not present in the room. Crating is used as a management and safety tool to ensure structured rest, prevent overstimulation, and maintain a calm environment for everyone in the home.
Dogs who experience significant distress in a crate may not be a good fit for Structured Boarding at this time.
Optional Training Add-On
For Board and Train graduates who would like to continue progressing, select boarding days may be upgraded to training-focused days. These days allow for additional work on specific skills or goals while your dog is boarding.
• Training Day Add-On: $50 per day
*Availability for training add-ons is limited and must be scheduled in advance.
Is Structured Boarding the Right Fit?
Structured Boarding is best suited for dogs who:
• Have completed a formal training program either with me or a referral from another trainer
• Are comfortable with structure and boundaries
• Dog does well in calm, routine-based environments
If you’re unsure whether your dog qualifies, I’m happy to discuss options & determine the best fit.
